Introduction

Guru Angad Dev Ji (1504–1552), originally named Bhai Lehna Ji, was chosen by Guru Nanak Dev Ji as his spiritual successor due to his unshakeable devotion and humility. Guru Nanak bestowed upon him the name Angad, meaning “a part of my own body” (from Ang).
